Key Qualification

Mwinshehe Said is the Firm’s Quality Assurance Partner of ABS Consultants bringing over 32 years of experience in the accounting and auditing profession.

He began his carrier in 1993 at Tana & Somaiya, accounting and auditing firm, before joining Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers – “PwC”) later that same year. During his tenure with PwC, he gained extensive international exposure through secondments to PwC Mauritius in 1998, Saudi Arabia in 1999 where he joined PwC International team on the Saudi Telecom assignment, and Botswana in 2002. He also supervised numerous audit engagements in Kenya, further strengthening his regional experience.

In 2004, Mwinshehe joined Celtel Tanzania Limited (now Airtel Tanzania Limited) as the company’s first Chief Internal Auditor, where he established and operationalised the Internal Audit function. In this role, he reported administratively to the Managing Director and functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board of Director.

He subsequently joined PanAfrican Energy Tanzania Limited (PAET)—a subsidiary of Orca Energy Group Inc., an integrated oil and gas company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange—as Finance Director in September 2004, leading the finance function and contributing to the company’s strategic and operational success. In 2022, Mwinshehe was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company.

As a Partner at ABS Consultants Limited, Mwinshehe has provided leadership and oversight to engagement teams, ensuring the consistent delivery of high quality professional services across various sectors. He has participated in numerous professional seminars and workshops and has facilitated a wide range of training programmes in accounting, auditing, and taxation, contributing to capacity building within the profession.
